I'm currently situated in Montevideo, Uruguay, where I work as an Operations consultant for a contact services company catering the Brazilian market. I've worked in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry for 11 years. I'm originally from Costa Rica but lived in The Philippines for 5 years (2010 to 2015). There, I worked as a trainer and eventually become the Global Training and Development manager leading a group of trainers from Costa Rica, Canada, Antigua & Barbuda and The Philippines.
My passions are teaching, translating and fashion design. I have a major in English with a minor in Translation from the University of Costa Rica. I consider myself a creative soul so after graduating, I did some interior design courses and finally back in 2012, I studied Fashion Design in the Fashion Institute of the Philippines. Though professionally I'm not working as a translator, in every position I'd had, I've been required to utilize my translation skills: translating mainly from Spanish to English a variety of legal, medical and business related documents.
I have traveled all around Asia, some parts of America as well as worked with people from many different parts of the world. This has for sure kept me aware of the fact that cultural differences are a real thing and that there's no better journey than the one you take when you encounter a new culture face to face.
