Sobre mí
Hello,  My name is Carlos. I was born and raised in Brazil, and I started studying English when I was six years old. I have studied English for 11 years at Cultura Inglesa, but never stopped learning. I graduated in Civil Engineering (2015), and in 2014 I was awarded with a scholarship from the Brazilian Government to study Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow, Scotland, for a year. Moreover, I have also studied Spanish for two years (2010), and am currently learning French and Irish (Gaelic).  I have been working as a freelance translator, reviewer and subtitle synchronization since the beginning of 2016, acting in many areas of expertise. In order to go study in Scotland, I had to take the University of Cambridge's exam, IELTS (in 2013), which I passed with grade 8.0 out of 9.0. In comparison to TOEFL iBT, it represents a score of 110-115 (out of 120). Prior to that, I had taken the FCE exam (in 2009), which I passed with a grade B2. I have a background in Engineering, which helps with jargon, but I have also worked with app development, machine learning, conference lectures and others.  I am a committed person who takes pride in being professional and delivering a high value work that meets deadlines, so feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Rates are negotiable.  Thank you for your time,  Carlos
