She has professional experience as a graphic designer and production assistant acquired during her work for the Festival Escrita na Paisagem (Writing in the landscape), an international festival of performing arts in Évora, Portugal. Her works have been shown in both collective and individual exhibitions in Portugal. She has also been teaching visual arts and drawing in schools and public spaces, such as bookshops. As a performer, she created her own music under the name of Ostraliana and collaborated in varied music projects, with André Gonçalves, Rodrigo Dias, Gonçalo Silva, Ricardo Marques e João Moedas. She is co-creator and interpreter of the performance “Through the Looking glass” with Eleonora Marzani (Coimbra, Portugal, 2011). From 2013 to 2014 she worked for the design studio Formiga Luminosa and to Ciencia Viva, putting together the exhibition ” Once Upon A Time – Science for those who like fary tales”, ongoing until August at the Knowledge Pavilion, in Lisbon. Currently Marta is working as a free lance and dedicates mostly to drawing, illustrating, and teaching. On March 2014, she illustrated Kraus G. texts in a book edited by ” A tua mãe”, and is about to edit “Subterrestre” with Besouro Editions, Coimbra.
