Director / 3D Generalist at • • • (Own)
October 2012 – Present (3 years 4 months)
Project: Animation short. This project came out a couple of years in the COMBO animation collective, which had formed among several friends and whose purpose was to tell stories by using animation with its diverse methodologies and expressions. The original idea (from my friend Nitza Huitrón) on which we worked at that time (myself in the design and 3d area) remained paused due to arising responsibilities from work, school, or personals which we had to attend, staying in the same way the collective's idea. In 2012 we returned to resume it, this time only Nitza and me, working in a "remote way" (since there are 480 km. approx. between us), giving a twist to the original argument, naming it: Anitya. http://goo.gl/4bI0YW

Creative Director / Motion Graphics Animator / 3D Generalist at Euforia Fotofilms
September 2013 – March 2014 (7 months)Mexico City Area, Mexico
Project: 3d-Motion graphics animation Web Spots. Commissioned by Euforia Fotofilms. The purpose for these 3 animated clips was to introduce and explain step by step such platform (Propiedades.com) to the new user. From how to navigate it, as well as how to publish and how to highlight published items.
My role consisted on adapting the narrative continuity of the script (written by Shador Barcs & Luz Rodríguez) into graphics, utilizing imagery already established in their website (icons, buttons, typography, etc.) and incorporating a fictional 3d character who would play the role as the user interacting with the platform.
I was assisted by illustrator Elizabeth Sánchez on doing 2.5D layouts from vector graphics as well some animation scenes.
All the work was done with Adobe After Effects and Autodesk Maya. https://vimeo.com/136389162
Concept Artist / Illustrator at Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública (INSP)

December 2012 – December 2012 (1 month)
Project: Poster Design. Commissioned by a group of M.S. Psychology students from the UAEM, which was shown at the Seventh Congress of the Mexican Association of Neuropsychology at San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Because the exhibitors were working with actual scans of the brain, which are very abstract images, we chose to illustrate the "outside" of these with a three dimensional image of the brain. The result is the composition of a Depht-Map image with a fractal map. http://goo.gl/4bI0YW
Director / Motion Graphics Desginer and Animator at Simon VTI
July 2012 – December 2012 (6 months)
Project: Motion Graphics animation short. The animation was made based on the ideology of the educational model of the UAAAN. My work consisted on adapting the narrative continuity of the script (written by Gabriel Fuentes, Simon VTI) into graphics, such as creating all the imagery used (concepts, styles, designs, layout and storyboard assisted by illustrator Elizabeth Sánchez), and animate said elements with After Effects. https://vimeo.com/51084110
Web Designer and Developer at Origen Comunicación
June 2012 – July 2012 (2 months)
Tony Makhlouf created the base concept of this site; my work consisted in redesigning the layout to recreate it through CSS programing. The insertion of jQuery modules was essential for all pages with interactive and dynamic content, putting aside the use of FlashPlayer and achieving an accessible site for most users with mobile devices. http://goo.gl/4bI0YW
Web Designer at Cinema Planeta
February 2012 – June 2012 (5 months)
Project: Website re-design. This project consisted in redesigning and reprograming the structure and performance of the International Festival of Film and Environment: Cinema Planeta, for its 4th edition presentation. The main idea was to standardize all aspects of the web site with the imagery that would be used in printed media, and at the same time making the site fully accessible for any device. My friend Erendira Ceballos made the programming of the site. http://goo.gl/4bI0YW
Creative Director / Motion Graphics Animator at Chabacano Films

Character Designer / 3D Generalist / Creative Director at e-UAEM, Espacio de Formación Multimodal
November 2011 – January 2012 (3 months)
Design and modeling of the mascot character for e-UAEM. The reason on choosing a chameleon, was based on the fact that a chameleon’s chromatic adaptability represents e-UAEM’s graphic design, in which a particular color represents a different academic department, as such, the chameleon stays as a constant visual element amongst all of e-UAEM’s entities. http://goo.gl/4bI0YW
Graphic Designer at Neuroclinic
November 2011 – November 2011 (1 month)
Project: Poster design. A group of M.S. Psychology students from the UAEM contacted me to create this information board. This work participated in a Board Design Contest, within the 1st Post-graduate Student Forum of the same institution, where it obtained 1st place. Given the urgency of this project, the portrait I used for this design was taken from my 3d.sk subscription, and adjusted accordingly to meet the need of my clients. http://goo.gl/4bI0YW
Director / Concept Designer / 3D Generalist at Comisión Federal de Electricidad
January 2011 – June 2011 (6 months)

Creative Director / Graphic and Web Designer at VARSSA
September 2008 – September 2010 (2 years 1 month)
I was commissioned by VARSSA (2009) to develop their corporate image; the challenge was in creating an elegant, firm and modern design capable of represent the company in the commercial world, and above all, to be easily distinguishable. This helped my client to solidify as a company and stand out amongst its competitors in the field (uniform creation, office supplier and publicity articles). Once my task was done, I was properly hired with a steady position as a designer, where I worked for about a year, taking care of all the graphic and web design needed for the company. http://goo.gl/4bI0YW

July 2010 – July 2010 (1 month)
Project: TV & Web Spot. Graphic and Web Designer / Multimedia Artist at e-UAEM, Espacio de Formación Multimodal
November 2009 – July 2010 (9 months)
I collaborated with the e-UAEM project from its very beginnings (late 2009) until mid 2010. My objective initially, was to come up with a series of graphic designs that would define the ideas behind the institution; these designs should evoke certain concepts, among them versatility and flexibility, bringing as a result an image capable of being used in formal, casual and abstract media. http://goo.gl/4bI0YW
Graphic and Web Designer at Festival de la Memoria. Documental Iberoamericano (FMDI)
January 2008 – April 2009 (1 year 4 months)
I collaborated with the creation of the online site for the 2nd Memory Festival (www.festivalmemoria.com.mx) in 2008. The visual concept was originated in the boards created by Alejandro Magallanes, bringing together both this concept and the imagery used for printed media. The interface was built entirely with Flash to attend the need of a highly dynamic and interactive multimedia site.
Then in 2009, the challenge for was to renovate both the image and layout of the site from the 2nd festival, to bring a friendlier, easier and intuitive navigation interface for the user. HTML and CSS coding were used for the base structure of the site, with the insertion of certain Flash elements. The image originated once again from Alejandro Magallanes concept, this time with “coquitos”, which helped to create the imagery for the site, as well as Alejandro Quesnel’s photographs.

Web Designer at Facultad de Artes UAEM
July 2007 – July 2008 (1 year 1 month)
Project: The creation for the online website of the Arts Faculty at UAEM (2007-2010). I joined the academic institution as a designer towards the end of my last semester in my Bachelor’s Degree. I was given the freedom necessary to bring new ideas that would break the years old static vibe, as well as the lack of efficiency towards information management of the site. The new site was integrated with several areas that gave direct access to academic personnel and teachers, thus expanding the Faculty’s reach online. During my stay (until mid 2008), I also collaborated generating images for different institutional events.
