Hi we are in 8 resorts, thousands of skiers per day will be passing in front of our kiosks every day, we are looking to grow and find investors in the company. For this reason we are looking for someone long term to help us with a new project which has a lot of potential. The first mission for our developper would be to do the following:

The System
A 43" touch screen UI for a mountain kiosk. The kiosk will mainly be running a Digital signage APP

Unlocking phone charging boxes:
The kiosk has an RFID reader and we want to use this to control access to charging boxes. Previously we have used a touch screen and PIN codes, but this has proven to be unreliable in cold weather. Everyone on the mountain has an rfid lift pass with unique id, and we want to use this as the client identifier thus eliminating the need for the touch screen.

*NOTE. The lockboard has drivers for windows only, and will likely require some investigation to use with RPI. We can provide our last developers PI image which will have his solution for the lockboard communication.
Process:
1. Clients on the mountain will tap their ski pass against the RFID reader. The reader will acknowledge the card and prompt an onscreen message for terms and conditions. Clients will tap their RFID card to agree, and if not leave the process to reset after a timer.
If the statement is agreed (by re-touch the rfid card) a command is sent to unlock a door, and the client is prompted to put their phone in a numbered locker. If the client places the phone in the wrong box it will automatically re-open and prevent them from storing. Only when the phone is placed in the correct box will the box stay closed. This box will then be registered as “in use”. On returning to the kiosk, the client presents their ski
pass (rfid card) to the rfid reader, the system acknowledges the unique id and re-opens the charge box that was assigned.

Every time an RFID card is presented, an on-screen visual prompt is required for instructions. The plasignage advertising software will normally occupy 100% of the screen . We need to find a way to overlay our instructions or use a portion of the screen at the bottom to display charging instructions.
