I am a small (Just getting started) veteran owned company that makes hand crafted, all natural, cold processed soap.  I already own the URL through Go Daddy but have no experience at all about setting up a website to sell.  Eventually I will also be making all natural deodorants to sell also, but for now, need to focus my efforts on having an online presence.

I am also going to have Etsy (not yet), Instagram (strigilandflasksoap) and to a lesser extent, FaceBook linked into it as well.  My concept is minimalist.  What that means to me is I'm not making flashy, over the top soaps with ingredients that people don't need.

There are no unnecessary colorants, I only use clays, charcoal and natural oils to color the soap.  No flashy embeds or botanicals on my soaps that will be washed down the drain or pulled off before use.  I stamp my soaps with my company logo and then wrap them in a biodegradable, clear shrink wrap.

Made from polyolefin, the wraps will biodegrade within 9 months, leaving nothing to waste.  I use recycled labeling on the back of each bar, further reducing the impact of my products on the environment.  Going back to the soap, all of my ingredients are completely natural.

I use fine and in many cases, food grade oils and butters, essential oils and fragrance oils for scented soaps and that's it!  Body washes on the shelves can't say that.  In most cases, they are actually classified as detergents like you'd use to wash cars, clothes and dishes.  They are not good for your skin.

Cold processed soap takes four to six weeks to fully cure so that the bar of soap that you use is as hard and long lasting as it can be.  This means I have to have quite a bit of stock pre-made to meet the demands of consumers.  My initial line will include 15 soaps that I will keep on hand at all times.

I will also have seasonal soaps that will change yearly to keep customers excited about new products.  I hope to do a membership or some kind of soap of the month club where "the more you buy, the more you save."
