Tengo el siguiente problema con mi plantilla newspaper 8 de wordpress

el sitio anda lento, es el siguiente : www.radiopopularsanluis.com.ar
Cuando se sube una noticia y se viraliza el servidor se cae, la pagina se cae, y eso que es un sevidor dedicado, con una i3 y 16gb de ram.

Necesito recomendaciones, para optimizar dicha plantilla para que esto no suceda, o que me digan cual es el problema

Necesito realizar un diseño de un sitio web que sea de redaccion de noticias, el estilo que tiene que contener debe ser similar a  alguno de los siguientes sitios, ademas de ser rapido al entrar para el usuario.
