We are seeking a skilled and experienced ANSYS engineer to perform an advanced simulation and analysis project on a steel spur gear. The primary objective is to evaluate the friction performance and mechanical behavior of the gear both before and after coating with three different nanomaterials. This comprehensive analysis will provide critical insights into the gear's performance under various conditions.
The required work includes:
- Stress analysis of the spur gear.
- Calculation of the Factor of Safety for all cases.
- Evaluation of the coefficient of friction and its influence on gear performance under operating conditions.
The analysis should be conducted for the following four distinct cases:
1. Uncoated steel spur gear.
2. Spur gear coated with the first nanomaterial.
3. Spur gear coated with the second nanomaterial.
4. Spur gear coated with the third nanomaterial.
We will provide the complete CAD model of the spur gear, along with a detailed table of material properties for the steel and all three nanocoating materials. All necessary files and data will be supplied to the selected freelancer.
Expected deliverables for this project include:
- Detailed stress and deformation results.
- Calculated Factor of Safety values for each case.
- A comprehensive comparison report highlighting the differences and performance characteristics across all four analyzed cases.
- High-quality ANSYS plots and result figures.
- A concise engineering interpretation of the results, providing actionable insights.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in gear analysis, friction/contact analysis, and surface coatings or nanomaterials. A strong commitment to accuracy and meeting agreed deadlines is essential for this project.
