Corregir funcion en plantilla premiun

Saludos a todos,

Tengo un theme premiun de wordpress el cual necesito revisar la funcion de notificacion al presionar un boton.

En el archivo funtions.php sale dicha funcion de nofiticar, por algun motivo este esa desactivado o no funciona.

De no ser posible activar la funcion nativa del theme,
quisiera agregar que al presioar ese boton muestre una especia de popup con un texto

se debe hacer este trabajo en alguna horas.
