Creative Graphic Designer for Unique Hostel Merchandise & Custom Illustrations

We run a fun and social hostel on Siquijor Island, Philippines, and we are looking for a creative graphic designer to design original merchandise that captures the spirit of our hostel and the island.

Our place is known for nightly family dinners, island rides, and social gatherings. We want our merch to reflect that same energy so that guests have something memorable to take home.

    •    Custom illustrations made just for us (no stock art)
    •    Designs that highlight the community vibe of our hostel such as family dinners, island adventures, and social events
    •    Playful use of text in the artwork, like a shirt design that says “Joining Dinner Tonight?”
    •    Fun, tropical, and colorful artwork that guests will be excited to wear and keep

    •    Two t-shirt designs to start:
    •    One inspired by our family dinners with a tagline
    •    One that combines different elements of hostel life like dinners, rides, and social activities
    •    Additional merch designs:
    •    Tote bag
    •    Postcard
    •    Simple QR code graphics (one linking to our WiFi access, one linking to our digital guide)
    •    Print-ready files in high resolution plus editable source files

🖌️ Style and Technical Notes
    •    Artwork must be suitable for DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing on shirts
    •    Bold designs that look good on both light and dark backgrounds
    •    We will share photos of our past merch and some style references to guide you

    •    All designs must be original and custom-made for our hostel
    •    Once paid, full commercial rights transfer to us
    •    Comfortable creating illustrations that are ready for apparel and print production

We are open to quotes for individual illustrations and for a package deal that covers shirts, tote bags, postcards, and QR codes.
