Diego Silva - Part-time Estimator with 3d Modeling and Cad for Metal Fabrication

Titan Forge, a metal fabrication and welding shop based in Springville, Utah, is looking for a part-time estimator. This role builds accurate quotes for our custom fabrication and welding jobs, using 3D modeling and CAD skills to interpret drawings, specifications, and site photos, model parts, and calculate material and labor costs. Accuracy in the 3D models matters most here: an error in the model throws off the material and labor numbers, and that flows straight into a bad quote. The goal is clear, complete estimates for our sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

Build precise 3D models of parts from engineering drawings, specifications, and site photos.
Calculate material quantities and labor hours for custom fabrication and welding projects.
Prepare detailed, clear cost estimates for the sales department.
Work directly with our team to make sure project requirements are understood and met.

Required Skills and Experience:

Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Track record of accurate, error-checked modeling, since mistakes here directly affect quote accuracy.
Basic understanding of metal fabrication and welding processes, including structural steel and sheet metal work.
Strong written English for direct communication with our team.

This is a recurring part-time position, around 20 hours a week. Working hours need to overlap with Mountain Time in Utah, so we're prioritizing candidates in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, or Mexico.
