# Egocentric Video Contributors Wanted — LATAM (Household Tasks)

We're building a large-scale, first-person (egocentric) video dataset of everyday manual work, recorded from a head-mounted phone in real homes across Latin America. If you're in LATAM and willing to film yourself doing normal household tasks, you can earn money for every hour of footage we accept.

## What we're collecting

First-person video of real, hands-on household work — filmed naturally, in real time, in good lighting. No staging, no studio, no acting.

- **Home upkeep & light repairs** — e.g., Painting a wall, fixing a hinge, assembling or installing something
- **Gardening & plant care** — planting, pruning, watering
- **Cleaning & tidying** — sweeping, mopping, laundry, dishes, organizing, decluttering, bathroom, garage

*(Cooking-focused footage isn't accepted right now.)*

## Who can join

- Based anywhere in LATAM
- A supported phone:
  - iPhone 11 or newer
  - Google Pixel 6 or newer
  - Samsung Galaxy S21 or newer
- A simple head strap to hold your phone at eye level, hands free

## How it works

1. **Download the Minute app**

2. **Sign in as a Contributor** using your email + org code **VZEAE7WC**. This code is how your hours get credited to you and paid — don't skip it or use a different one.
3. **Mount the phone** on your forehead at eye level, landscape orientation, angled about 45° downward so your hands are in frame.
4. **Record a full task** from start to finish, at a natural pace.
5. **Upload through the app.** Footage uploads automatically inside the Minute app — there's no separate folder. Everything has to go through the app so it's tracked to your account and you get paid.

## Filming checklist (this is what gets footage accepted)

- Phone at eye level, landscape, lens clean, strap tight (no bounce, sliding, or tilt)
- Camera angled slightly down so your hands and fingers are visible while you work
- Steady shot, smooth head movement, good lighting
- Stand or walk while working — no seated recording
- One complete task per clip, start to finish, at a natural pace

## What gets rejected (and doesn't get paid)

Shaky, tilted, or obstructed view; poor lighting; hands held up in front of the lens or out of frame too long; staged, robotic, or fake task performance; long unnecessary pauses; fast or jerky head/hand movements; very repetitive motion for long stretches; seated recording; portrait orientation; unsupported phones; duplicate submissions; or anything filmed without consent.

## Privacy — please follow this

Don't record anyone who hasn't agreed to be filmed, and don't capture private or sensitive spaces, documents, or screens.

## Pay

- **~US $9 per accepted hour** of usable footage that meets the brief.
- **$5 onboarding bonus** when you reach your first full hour (you'll see a progress bar in the app).
- Rejected footage isn't paid. Submissions are reviewed for acceptance, and accepted hours are paid out [your payout schedule — e.g., Weekly].
- Record as many sessions as you like through the week — different chores are welcome.

## Quick log

For each session, note the **date, city, and task type**. The app tracks your uploads automatically; the log just helps us match everything up.
