Experienced Architect/Interior Designer for High-End Sustainable Residential Projects

We are a residential development team specializing in high-end, sustainable homes. We are seeking a talented and experienced architect or interior designer to join us as a freelance partner, with the potential for a long-term, ongoing collaboration as our project pipeline expands. The scope of work will vary with project load and can encompass the full design process, from initial concept development and mood boards to detailed construction documentation. Key responsibilities and tasks include: Creating concept drawings and mood boards to define project aesthetics. Developing 3D models and producing photorealistic interior renderings. Designing and detailing cabinetry and millwork. Preparing comprehensive construction documentation. We are looking for a professional with: Proven experience in architecture or interior design, with architects being especially welcome. Strong 3D modeling skills, capable of generating high-quality photorealistic interior renderings. An exceptional eye for design, ranging from understated, rich, and luxurious finishes to clean, modern minimalism. Expertise in kitchen, bath, cabinetry, and millwork design. Proficiency in CAD or Revit software. The ability to meticulously execute a specific design vision, working from provided inspiration boards. A talent for sourcing beautiful and cost-effective materials within budget constraints. General familiarity with US building codes. A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality residential interior design work. A significant plus is an openness to energy-efficient design principles and familiarity with US certification standards such as Energy Star and DOE. Sustainability is a core value in our construction projects, and specific guidelines will be provided per project.
