We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer, Survey Engineer, or gis/cad specialist to calculate the dredging volume of a river using pre-dredging hydrographic survey data and as-built hydrographic survey data. The project involves comparing two hydrographic surveys to determine the actual dredged volume and preparing professional calculations and drawings suitable for project documentation. The river length is approximately 1.6 km.
Scope of Work:
Review pre-dredging and as-built hydrographic survey drawings (dwg/pdf).
Extract and process hydrographic survey data.
Generate river cross-sections at specified chainages.
Compare pre-dredging and as-built cross-sections.
Calculate dredged volume using appropriate methods (Average End Area, Prismoidal, or other accepted engineering methods).
Prepare:
Cross-sectional drawings
Longitudinal profile (if required)
Volume calculation sheets
Summary report showing total dredged volume
Provide editable source files.
Deliverables:
Complete dredging volume calculation.
Cross-sectional comparison drawings.
Excel calculation sheets.
AutoCAD/Civil 3D files (if applicable).
PDF report summarizing methodology, assumptions, and final quantities.

Pre-hydrographic survey drawings (dwg/pdf)
as-built hydrographic survey drawings (dwg/pdf)
survey point data (csv/excel, if required)
river alignment/chainage information (if available)
experience required:
proven experience with river dredging or marine dredging projects.
Experience preparing cross-sections and volume calculations from hydrographic surveys.
Ability to provide examples of similar completed projects.
