Published on the June 21, 2026 in Design & Multimedia

About this project

Open

We are seeking an experienced graphic and document designer to transform two existing veterinary study guides, totaling approximately 400 pages, into a single, premium NAVLE study guide. This project requires more than simple formatting; the goal is to create a visually engaging, highly organized, and effective study resource designed for easy reading, memorization, and review, similar to a high-quality board-exam review book rather than a traditional textbook. The successful freelancer will be responsible for establishing a consistent design system and color coding throughout the document. Key tasks include: Organizing content by species (canine, feline, equine, bovine, small ruminants, swine, poultry, exotics) and further organizing within each species by body system. Incorporating various visual elements such as infographics, flowcharts, diagnostic algorithms, treatment algorithms, comparison tables, memory aids, icons, and veterinary illustrations to enhance understanding and retention. Removing duplicate content and improving the overall organization and flow of information while maintaining the medical accuracy of the original source material. Deliverables include an editable file (Canva or Adobe InDesign), a print-ready PDF, and a tablet/iPad-friendly PDF. The ideal candidate will possess strong graphic design skills, proven experience with educational, medical, or exam-preparation materials, and a track record of successfully managing large document redesign projects. Attention to detail, reliability, and efficiency are highly valued. Please include portfolio examples, estimated timeline, software proficiency, and relevant project experience in your proposal. Quality is paramount for this project.
