Experienced Pixel Art & Animation Specialist for Creative Projects

We are seeking an experienced Pixel Art & Animation Specialist with strong proficiency in LibreSprite to contribute to professional creative projects focused on pixel-based illustration and animation workflows. This is a contract-based freelance project, suitable for independent professionals with proven production experience. The selected freelancer will work on complete pixel art and animation tasks, from initial concept to final asset delivery. A key part of this project involves clearly documenting creative decisions, workflows, and technical steps while producing high-quality visual assets. The goal is to ensure consistency, clarity, and professional standards throughout the creative process. Responsibilities include: Create pixel art illustrations and sprite-based animations using LibreSprite; Develop character sprites, tilesets, UI elements, and animated sequences; Use layers, onion skinning, palettes, and frame management effectively; Organize files, assets, and exports according to project guidelines; Explain creative and technical choices through clear written documentation; Deliver polished assets that meet defined artistic and technical criteria. Required Skills: Demonstrated professional experience using LibreSprite; Strong understanding of pixel art principles, animation timing, and composition; Ability to manage projects independently from concept to delivery; Clear written communication skills for documenting workflows; Attention to detail and consistency in visual output. Preferred Experience: Previous work on pixel art or animation projects for games or digital media; Experience documenting creative workflows or producing structured assets; Familiarity with retro-style art pipelines or collaborative creative environments.
