Full-Time Spanish/English Editor - YouTube Shorts

about the work
we run a large english-language youtube channel (400k+ subscribers) featuring piano street-performance videos. We recently launched a Spanish-language version of the channel. We're now expanding to additional Spanish channels, and we need a dedicated editor to own the production pipeline.

This is not a "cut some clips" role. You'll be the person who turns an English video into a Spanish one that feels native. Here is an example of one of our dubbed videos: https://youtube.com/shorts/plGcyQgR4Ew?si=Qkan9hmuqwpm1gi3

what you'll do
each video is a 30-60 second short that already exists in english. Your job is to rebuild it in Spanish:
1. Replace the original English audio with Spanish voiceover (provided by our voiceover artist)
2. Sync the new audio to the footage
3. Apply basic audio processing
4. Replace all on-screen English captions with the Spanish versions
5. Upload and schedule to YouTube, with Spanish titles/descriptions/tags etc

Volume: roughly 20-30 videos/month currently (videos are short - 30 seconds to 3 minutes), ideally ramping to 60-90/month as we launch additional channels.

what we need
required:
- native or fluent spanish and conversational english (you'll be reading spanish captions and confirming they're placed correctly, and communicating with our team in english)
- real short-form editing experience — pacing for vertical video is a specific skill
- adobe premiere pro or another professional software
- comfortable with basic audio work (eq, reverb, compression)
- reliable, consistent turnaround. This is a rhythm job, not a burst job

Nice to have:
- Dubbing or localization experience
- Experience managing a YouTube channel's uploads and scheduling
- Familiarity with what performs on Spanish-language Youtube

hours and structure
40 hours per week. We're looking for a long-term relationship, not a one-off project.

We'll start with a paid trial: one real video, same brief as everyone else, so we can compare fairly. If it goes well, we move to an ongoing contract.

to apply
please include:
1. A link to one short-form video you edited (vertical, under 90 seconds)
2. What editing software do you currently use

Applications without #2 will not be reviewed.
