Summary
**Scrub Stories Worldwide – Nursing Around the Globe**

*We are actively building a library of Scrub Stories Worldwide and are seeking multiple contributors.

*The payment for each story will be $30 USD.

I’m creating a project called *Scrub Stories Worldwide*, a collection of real stories from nurses and healthcare workers around the world describing what nursing is truly like in their country.

I’m looking for authentic, personal, and thoughtful stories that help readers understand:

*How many years you have been a nurse and what unit and with what type of patient population you work with?
*How many hours and how many days per week do you work?
*Is there anything about the culture of your country that has an impact on nursing?
*Are there any issues with lack or supplies or lack of medications?
*What is the typical relationship nurses and doctors have in the healthcare setting?
*What was a really stressful shift you had?
*What was a positive/memorable shift you had?
*What would people from around the world find interesting and unique about nursing in your country?
*What is something nurses in other countries would find surprising about healthcare in your country?
*Please add anything else that you feel would help explain what it is to be a nurse in your country.

**Please do not only write about what a typical shift is.  I am not looking for the whole story to be a step by step recap of a shift.  I am looking for the human and emotional side of nursing, the good and the bad.  I would like it to be a story an not just answ e ring questions, more conversational.

The goal is not academic writing. I want real human experiences written in a natural, conversational style.

Stories can be funny, emotional, inspiring, chaotic, eye-opening, or reflective.

**Requirements:**

* Original content only
* Approximately 800–2,000 words
* Written in English (does not need to be perfect)
* Include your country and nursing role
* No patient-identifying information

**Important Rights & Usage Information:**
By accepting this project, you agree that:

*Stories will be credited anonymously.  The author will be able to choose any name they want as the website will be publishing articles under chosen usernames.

I’m looking for honest voices and unique perspectives from all over the world.

If you are not selected I may already have a story from your country.
