Project overview
Our objective for the final project is let consumers can book Malaysia’s hotels online through our website. As the picture shown, there is a combination of two main elements which are hotel building and hibiscus. This is because it can represented the meaning of our name which is ‘Hotel Malaysia’. This is the main concept for designing the icon. The important of an icon is an icon can let users to identify quickly. The main purpose for designing the icon is to impressed the users by looking the icon of the website. First, I combined the hotel building with hibiscus. Hibiscus is the national flower of Malaysia. This idea is want to show the meaning that all these hotels are in Malaysia. This is because all hotels listed on our website are only in Malaysia. The color that I chosen for the icon is blue because blue is the color of trust and sincerity. It can helps to build customer loyalty. In addition, blue is simply striking. It may attracts users’ attention for clicking into our website by looking on our icon. Physiologically, blue is calming, reducing tension and fear. Furthermore, blue indicates confidence, reliability and responsibility.
