Seeking an industrial designer or engineer for the technical 3D modeling of a plastic smartphone accessory. This accessory functions as an optical flash light director.
The project consists of two main parts, connected by a threaded mechanism:
1. Universal smartphone clip with quick-release adjustment (rack and pinion/ratchet system).
2. Cylindrical tube featuring an internal housing for a lens and a horizontal, through-slot (guillotine style).
Within this slot, a precise internal tray/cradle must be designed. This tray will have a specific shape (narrow at the ends and widened in the center) to ensure perfect fit and secure locking of a proprietary guide card.
Key requirements include: Proven experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), specifically for 3D printing, with a strong understanding of tolerances for threads and interlocking parts. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be required before the final measurements and project commencement. The project budget should account for a round of adjustments following prototype testing. Freelancers are requested to submit a portfolio showcasing relevant technical parts.
