for problem 1 you need to get a certificate and set it in your server. We recommend let’s encrypt. It has a software “certbot” which does the certificate thing automatically.

You start it, and get a certificate, which you have to specify in your ssl config of your web server. Then all you need to do is to access your server via https. This solves this problem.

Generally speaking this is not a problem, this is a security advise that ownCloud gives you. If you access your server with http or just the IP address, your traffic is not ecrypted = can be intercepted and read.

Other roles needed Tengo un VPS con CentOS dondado por la gente de cyber-planet.in En el mismo tengo instalado owncloud server, una especie de dropbox personal para poder utilizarlo en la institución educativa de la que formo parte. Actualmente se puede ingresar sin inconvenientes pero de manera insegura (HTTP), necesito ingresar via HTTPS y para eso necesito un certificado y que alguien me lo configure en el servidor porque no tengo conocimientos de linux. Es solo ese el trabajo a realizar.
