obart - Professional Audio Repair and Enhancement for 30-Minute Presentation

Published on the September 20, 2026 in Design & Multimedia

About this project

Open

I am a mental health at work educator and I organize an online event raising awareness about burnout, gathering specialists from different parts of the world. One of the panels we presented was a 30 minute interview with a leading researcher on the field, but unfortunately the interview has not been distributed as much as deserved because of the poor quality of the audio of the guest researcher.

I am looking for a skilled audio editor to assess if the dialoge is salvageable and, if so, restore it. The primary challenge is poor audio quality from one speaker, characterized by choppy, truncated speech and abrupt cutoffs, likely due to aggressive noise suppression. While the speech is somewhat understandable, it is currently tiring to listen to.

I have attempted to improve the audio using tools like Adobe Enhance, Riverside, and Garage Band, which offered minor improvements but did not resolve the choppiness. The goal is to achieve smoother, more comfortable listening quality while preserving the speaker's natural voice and maintaining exact timing for synchronization with the video.

Deliverables:
• A processed audio file preserving as much as possible from the original speech and pace, original voice without AI-generated replacement speech.
• One revision round included.
• No video editing, transcription or subtitles needed.

Please include:
• Whether you can provide a 1 minute test, your fee + turnaround for it.
• A fixed quote + turnaround time for the full 30-minute recording.
• A relevant before-and-after example, if available.

I’m looking for an affordable solution and a realistic assessment of the improvement possible. I’ll decide on the full project after reviewing the sample.

The original audio file is in m4a format with separate tracks.
A 1-minute sample will be provided for assessment.
