Project overview

Key Requirements: Access & Circulation: Single entry point from the main road. Roads must allow articulated lorries (carrying 20ft shipping containers) to enter, turn around fully, and exit without obstruction. Heavy vehicles should be able to maneuver within their assigned plots. Plot Divisions (Flexible Partitions): Initial draft divides the site into 5 plots, but partitions will only be erected after client confirmation (roads must be fixed first). Plot 1 & 2: Must accommodate articulated lorries (20ft containers). Plot 1: Sliding gate of 12m; ensure space for full turn-around. Plot 2: Same as Plot 1 if possible, but note there’s an electricity pole inside. Plot 3 & 4: For medium goods vehicles (no 20ft containers). Sliding gates of 9m; both have electricity poles. Plot 5: Center-open gate + 3m rear gate (access to dirt road for light vehicles). Includes an existing concrete structure (to remain for tenant use). Intended for medium goods vehicles. Questions for Your Review: Is the current road layout optimal for HGV circulation, especially in Plots 1 & 2? If Plots 4 & 5 were combined, could they accommodate an HGV? Any suggestions for improving traffic flow given the single entry point? Please present your recommendations on a plot plan. Additional Notes: Attached: Rough pencil sketch of the plot map (reference gates, poles, and roads). Flexibility: Partition sizes are client-driven, but road placement must be finalized now. Next Steps: Please advise on the feasibility of the plan, focusing on HGV maneuverability and road design. Flag any potential issues (e.g., Tight turns, pole obstructions).
