We are looking for a skilled developer to build 'Play the Situation', a new daily decision game that blends news, strategy, media, and prediction. The core concept involves dropping users into real-world high-stakes situations (business, political, cultural, sports, technology) and challenging them to make interactive decisions.
The game should feel like a sharp daily experience rather than an educational tool, drawing inspiration from games like Wordle, combined with elements of The Hustle, prediction markets, and board-game strategy. The goal is for users to feel immersed in the daily drama, making critical calls before outcomes are revealed.
Key aspects of the user experience include:
- Strong setup with clear tension and an emotionally satisfying arc.
- Players quickly understand their role, goals, obstacles, and risks.
- Fast, intuitive interactions such as swiping through information (signal vs. Noise), choosing data to request, ranking possible moves, setting confidence levels, and placing bets.
- Post-game results should provide a score, insights into decision-making style, credibility/money earned or lost, and analysis of alternative actions.
The ultimate objective is to create an engaging, repeatable, sponsor-friendly, and addictive daily game that encourages users to return consistently to test their instincts against current events.
