Red Skies Vape

I just put up a Facebook page for my new business. I'm not actually selling anything yet, but I am building some inventory and otherwise making preparations. See facebook.com/redskiesvape.

It has my clunky first pass at a logo. My main sales platforms to start will be Lazada.com and Shopee.ph. So the logo will most often be seen, I think, at the top corner of product listings.

A simple memorable logo should help with an initial boost of brand awareness and put me a step ahead of most competitors. So it should be simple, perhaps done in line drawing but that's not a requirement. The main thing is that it should be legible and recognizable when it is small in size, as in a product listing.

And it should still look good in a larger size, perhaps in an online storefront. Regarding the line drawing concept, I can imagine (but not design) a text logo with a couple of extra graphical lines that at least hint at the idea of red skies. Perhaps symbolic partial outlines of a cloud or two, visible behind or above or to the side of the lettering.

Perhaps a couple of lines or converging rays that appear to trace the sky from a rising or setting sun at the horizon, which might also give a sense of depth. If the concept of a minimal number of extra graphical elements, as per my suggestions, cannot be done easily or well, then ditch the concept. The logo overall should be in one color, I think, to maintain simplicity.

And it should still look good when printed out in black-and-white. Perhaps the same logo in both red and black versions. The red will catch the buyer's eye online.

The red sky atop the Facebook page was taken at a magical moment just after sunset on Boracay Island. I'm not going to be too picky as long as the logo is simple, legible, memorable, and well proportioned. Good luck!
