We are seeking an experienced backend developer to enhance the reliability of our hotel website's room booking system. The current system, while having a functional landing page, lacks the ability to track individual room availability, leading to potential double bookings. The core problem is that the system only recognizes room types (e.g., Standard, Deluxe) and processes booking requests without verifying if a specific room is actually free for the requested dates.
This project focuses exclusively on the backend logic. The primary goal is to implement a robust system that accurately manages individual room availability, preventing duplicate bookings and ensuring that each reservation corresponds to an actually available room. This will involve modifying the existing backend infrastructure to handle room allocation and deallocation efficiently. Guests will not see immediate changes to the user interface for room selection, as that will be addressed in a separate, future development phase.
The successful freelancer will be provided with full access to the project codebase and comprehensive documentation outlining the current system's setup and architecture. We are looking for a trustworthy developer who can deliver a reliable and scalable solution for our hotel's booking operations.
