Skilled Architectural Plan Reader & Cabinet Takeoff Specialist for Long-Term Remote Work

We are a U.S.-Based kitchen cabinetry company seeking a highly skilled remote team member proficient in reading architectural plans and construction documents. This position focuses on reviewing architectural drawings and accurately translating relevant information into cabinet and order lists,  and kitchen layouts
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret architectural floor plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and notes.
- Identify all pertinent information related to kitchens, cabinetry, millwork, appliances, walls, windows, doors, and ceiling heights.
- Prepare precise cabinet and order lists based on architectural drawings.
- Proactively identify missing information, conflicts, or discrepancies within the plans.
- Work efficiently with PDFs, architectural drawings, and spreadsheets.
- Eventually learn and utilize 2020 Design software for kitchen cabinetry projects.
- Communicate questions clearly and concisely when plan information is ambiguous.

Required Skills:
- Strong, proven experience in reading architectural and construction drawings.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar architectural/design software.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of dimensions and construction terminology.
- Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new software.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection and consistent availability for ongoing work.

Preferred (but not required) Skills:
- Previous experience in cabinetry or millwork.
- Background in kitchen design.
- Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, or similar 3D modeling software.
- Experience in construction estimating or quantity takeoff.
- Prior experience working with U.S. Architectural drawings.
- Experience with 2020 Design software.
