Mick Bernard began his professional career as Art Director in Advertising Agencies, while still attending the 3rd year in college. Studying architecture and at the same time working as Art Director, turned him in a very versatile professional.
He continued working as Art Director and Creative Director for many years, in some important Advertising Agencies, such as JW Thompson/Barcelona, MPM/Rio De Janeiro, DPZ/São Paulo, among others, winning many national and international awards. He was the youngest Art Director in the history of the Brazilian advertising, with publications in yearbooks and specialized magazines from many countries.
As graphic designer he developed more than 1500 items as logos, posters, brochures, catalogues, etc., overseeing projects from design trough prepress and print.
Back From Los Angeles, after finishing his Master’s Degree he became Communication Manager of Bandeirantes Broadcasting Network . He was in charge for all corporate communication, including all advertising campaigns, program logos and openings designs and animations, vignettes, and set design.
Later he founded “Estalo Comunicações” a company specialized in Graphic Design and Environmental Graphics, with design/build capacity, to successfully solve complex issues of schedule, budget, design, and project management.
This firm quickly becomes a high performance and well known
company, partner and supplier for the main corporate architecture offices in Brazil, and big building companies. It carried thousands of jobs, between projects, fabrication and deployments for big corporations.
In 2006, Estalo Comunicações is acquired by Pigmentum Digital Printing, where he became Director of Special Projects, responsible for design and production.
Now, in his own office, he continues to develop his work, maintaining the high standards, which he always worked with, and always creating cutting-edge innovative projects.
