Diego Matias Martinez – CG & Game Artist 

I´ve been working in the video game and advertisement industry for more than ten years. Starting as an artist for a mobile game development company in 2001. I´ve worked there producing art for small video games, wallpapers, screen savers and such. A year later, in 2002 I started working as a Freelance illustrator for editorial companies, making illustrations for children books. At the same time I was studying Film direction, so I found a part-time job as a video editor and cameraman in a video clip production company making video-clips, Institutional videos and such. A few years later I joined Sabarasa Ent. team, a local video-game development company, as a 3D artist. During my time there I grew from a Senior 3D artist to a 3D Team Leader working for game titles like Timegate´s F.E.A.R. XP, F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, Section 8, Sabarasa´s Unbelievaballs, Minor studios´s Atmosphir. Then I started working as an Associate Producer for two Nintendo WII titles. Using Agile methodologies I played the role of Scrum Master for Sabarasa´s “Protocol” (Multiplayer on-line split screen FPS - cancelled ) and  Product Owner of Sabarasa´s “Horizon Riders” (balance board 3rd person shooter - published).

After that, in 2009 I moved on and co-founded  Quarantine Interactive with one of my dearest colleagues Ignacio J. Berge. During the past 4 years I worked as CG artist for our clients and developer for our own games.

Recently I decided I wanted to boost my personal career and portfolio so I started to work again as Freelance artist for different clients while I develop my own games.

* Quarantine Interactive (Videojuegos): I handle the production of the studio. Clients budgets, projects and tasks distribution. I also get to do a lot of the tasks because I'm also an artist. We are a small video game development studio and computer graphics outsourcing. We develop in-game art and promotional art, like cut-scenes or trailers. We are few but we can do a lot.


Me encargo de la Produccion del estudio. Manejo de clientes, presupuestos, proyectos y la distribucion de tareas de produccion. Tambien me encargo de resolver parte de las tareas de produccion cuando tengo algo de tiempo, ya que en el fondo soy artista. Somos un estudio pequeño de desarrollo de videojuegos y contenido de arte visual para video juegos, a pesar de ser pocos tenemos gran capacidad porque sabemos que en este medio es mucho mas importante la calidad que la cantidad.

* Freelance (Producción multimedia): I work as a freelance 3D artist for different clients both in Agentina and foreign countries. I like to work on video game projects but I also work on 3D for advertisements, promotions, medical animations and architecture.


Me estoy desempeñando como artista 3D freelance para distintos clientes tanto de Argentina como del exterior. Mayormente son proyectos de videojuegos pero tambien hago trabajos pra publicidad, promocion de productos, animaciones medicas y algo de infoarquitectura.

* 3000AD, Inc (Videojuegos): I've been working as head of the studio and main artist at Quarantine Interactive. And We have been working as Independent contractors for 3000AD, inc. since the very beginning of LOD. We are part of the team behind the game production.
From tanks, characters or spaceships to complete levels or space Battle cruisers. We've been part of the development of Line of Defense MMO and Line of Defense Tactics - Tactical advantage.
