El ddex es un archivo xml estándar en la industria musical, este archivo se envía a las tiendas digitales , para que ellos reconozcan el nombre del tema , compositor , autor , entre otras cosas. El usuario tiene que llenar los datos y se empaquete esa información en un DDEX, todas las paginas distribuidoras de música utilizan esta tecnología.
