Arreglar base de datos en Mysql y proceso para actualizar precios desde excel en Mysql

Necesito reparar una tabla en MySQL pues, al actualizarla a través de "MySQL for Excel", en algunas celdas arroja los errores : "Error 1253: COLLATION 'utf8_general_ci' is not valid for character set 'latin1' y 001: Query did not match any rows in the db, values in the row 10000 may have changed; please refresh values from db

por otro lado, esta tabla contiene información de precios, números de parte y status de los producto, los cuales cambian frecuentemente, necesito un proceso para que se actualicen desde un archivo en excel u otro formato.
