Necesito ayuda para implementar un manejo de timers y algún gráfico relacionado con timers. Estas funciones se integraran a scripts de php que se conectan con MySQL para otras fnuciones.

Estoy creando la especificación pero basicamente necesito algo como: Tomar_tiempo_actual()
Guardar_tiempo_bd()
Inicializar_timer()
iniciar_timer()
pausar_timer()
detener_timer()
desplegar_timer()
.. Etc.
Y tener disponible cada uno de estos eventos en mis scripts de php para usarlos de acuerdo al desarrollo del proceso.

No estoy utilizando ningun framework.
