I need an engineer to electrically reverse engineer a common engine sensor and to generate a report on the test results. Engineer must have access to a lab to run test setup and test measurement equipment.
The sensor is an air flow/air temperature sensor. So an experiment would need to be performed to control airflow and measure with respect to some sort of calibrated meter through some sort of tube or duct.
For the air temperature readings, ideally, I would like to get in a full range from -40C to 125C, but am open narrower ranges, if the freelancer doesn't have access to that sort of equipment. This test would also need some sort of experimental setup.
The report will feed design constraints to a new product design, so, if things go well, I would be open to extension to the concept product design and, eventually, design validation.
In summary, the scope of this project would be:
