UGC Performance Video Editor

We're hiring an AI-native editor who's equally strong on human footage. Most weeks the work splits between ai-generated ugc clips and human-actor ugc, with mixed-source edits in between. You'll work alongside our AI generation pipeline as a creative collaborator rather than a cleanup crew. The editors who thrive here use AI tools themselves, stay current on what's shipping, and bring opinions on how to push the output further. They also know how to pull a strong hook out of messy human footage, cut for retention, and treat both lanes with the same craft bar.
PrestaMax is a platform helping U.S. Hispanic small-business owners access working capital and business financing. We run performance ads in Spanish across Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with some English-language work for our sister brand. The AI-generated raw output is high quality. The bottleneck is post-production: stitching clips into clean, hook-driven, platform-native ads at volume so we can test rapidly on Meta and let the algorithm surface winners.

This is a per-video freelance role. Expected volume is 20 to 40 videos per month once the workflow is running. Work starts with a smaller paid test batch.

this role is not a fit for wedding editors, real estate editors, long-form youtube editors, or cinematic-only editors. We need someone who understands paid social UGC ads and can produce them at speed.

Spanish requirement
Native or near-native Spanish is required. Colombian-neutral fluency is preferred. English and Spanish captions are included in the base edit when we provide a script, transcript, or clear direction. Spanish copywriting, translation from scratch, and market-specific message adaptation are outside the base editing rate.

Test project
We'll send raw footage. Please deliver:
One 15 to 25 second ugc ad edit from ai-generated footage
one 15 to 25 second ugc ad edit from human-actor footage
one alternate hook variant from either edit
one spanish-captioned version using the script or direction we provide, with natural colombian-neutral phrasing where light cleanup is needed
each deliverable should include burned-in captions, a strong opening hook, text overlays where useful, music or sound design when appropriate, a clear cta, 9:16 export-ready mp4, and the editable project file in capcut, premiere, or davinci.
Compensation

Note on rate format: Contra requires an hourly band, but our actual compensation is structured per-video. The hourly range reflects effective rates across our per-video tiers detailed below. Please quote your per-video rates in your proposal.
Compensation
Standard edit: $35 per video. Covers AI, human, or mixed footage. Includes stitching, pacing, captions in English or Spanish, CTA, light cleanup, music, and export. Two revisions included.
Winner polish: $65 per video. For ads we plan to scale or run long-term.
Rush turnaround under 24 hours: +25 percent.
Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours per edit.

Project file delivery
Editable project files are delivered alongside every export. CapCut, Premiere, or DaVinci. This protects continuity if scope changes or volume scales.

We read the last question first. Specific, opinionated answers about hooks, retention, offer clarity, pacing, or pattern interrupts get serious consideration. Vague answers about "good transitions" or "high quality visuals" do not pass screening.
