Freelance Educational Workbook Designer for Children with Learning Difficulties

We are looking for a talented freelance professional to design and format educational activity books for children with learning difficulties.
The ideal candidate will combine strong graphic design and layout skills with a solid understanding of child education, learning challenges, and age-appropriate activities. Our books are designed to help children build confidence while practicing skills such as reading, writing, phonics, comprehension, attention, memory, fine motor skills, and other foundational learning abilities.

Main Responsibilities

Design and format complete activity workbooks for children.
Create visually appealing, easy-to-follow pages that are appropriate for children with learning difficulties.
Research activity ideas online based on specific educational objectives provided by us.
Develop original exercises inspired by suitable activity formats, while creating new content, instructions, illustrations, layouts, and visual designs.
Adapt activities so they are engaging, clear, accessible, and age-appropriate.
Ensure every page has a professional, consistent, print-ready layout.
Work with our instructions, examples, educational goals, and existing book styles.


Requirements
Proven experience designing children’s workbooks, educational materials, activity books, worksheets, or similar products.
Strong skills in graphic design and page layout.
Knowledge of educational methodologies, child development, learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, phonics, literacy, or special educational needs is highly valued.
Ability to transform a learning objective into practical and engaging activities.
Ability to create original educational content and visually distinct exercises based on references or ideas provided.
Strong attention to detail, especially in spelling, instructions, visual consistency, and formatting.
Experience preparing files for Amazon KDP or print publishing is a plus.
English proficiency is highly valued, as most of our books are written in English.
