Freelance Soft Goods / Product Designer for Premiu Dog Accessories

We are seeking a talented freelance Product Designer or Soft Goods Designer to join our team and support the technical development of a new premium dog accessories brand. The brand is positioned with a contemporary, minimalist, and premium design aesthetic, emphasizing functionality, comfort, durability, and the use of high-quality materials. The initial project focuses on a small collection of essential dog accessories.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

*  Translate existing design concepts into production-ready product designs.
*  Define precise product dimensions and proportions.
*  Detail construction and assembly methods.
*  Specify all required materials.
*  Integrate webbing, rope, and/or leather components effectively.
*  Design and specify hardware integration points.
*  Determine optimal stitching and reinforcement points for durability.
*  Ensure ergonomics and comfort for the animals.
*  Produce comprehensive technical drawings and CAD files.
*  Develop detailed prototype specifications.

We are looking for a designer with proven experience in soft goods, bags, outdoor equipment, pet accessories, leather goods, or similar product categories. Expertise in dog harness ergonomics and load distribution will be considered a significant advantage. The ultimate goal is to create a cohesive family of products ready for prototyping and subsequent manufacturing.
