Illustrations for a childrens book

Location’s small Australian outback well-worn township.  Troubled hero, Prickly Pete [60+]  going through a crisis.  Grumpy behaviour scares the kids and unnerves the adults.
  Kids aged 8 to 12, discuss it. Some intolerant, disrespectful, emphatic. 
Heroine is Mrs.
M. The fine upstanding President of the Country Womens' Association.  Other characters are four drover's from the  cattle station [male and female],  who are parents of two of the kids,  the local teacher and her son, the local mayor and her mother who is a wise woman,  a Community nurse and a local cop,  Pete already depressed,  is scared to death on the night of the blue moon and runs screaming into the night and hides in his shack on the edge of town.  I would want cover illustration and cost would determine how many others.
  Interested illustrators would be supplied with a manuscript and I would like to see initial drafts of their interpretation.
