Our client is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join their innovative software development team. You will be primarily working in a Python Flask application hosted on AWS. Experience with writing analytical SQL queries is a plus.

Responsibilities
Continue developing an existing Python web application based on specifications and requirements from the Product Manager.
Troubleshoot production issues and create bug fixes
Write well-designed, efficient code using best practices
Create and maintain website layout/user interface by using standard html/css practices
integrate data from various back-end services and databases
gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
requirements
proven working experience in python web development
knowledge of a javascript framework (e.g. Angular, React,
Vue.js)
4-5 years minimum experience in web development
2-3 years experience in Python web development
Experience writing and maintaining SQL queries for analytics
Familiarity with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL), web servers (e.g. Apache, nginx, Gunicorn)
Familiarity with aws "serverless" technologies like aws lambda and aws step functions is a plus.
Familiarity with GIS is also a plus; ArcGIS, Shapely, etc.
Knowledge of html, css, javascript
a solid understanding of how web applications work including security considerations, session management, and industry best practices
strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within constraints
bs in computer science or a related field
ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
