Tengo un proyecto Laravel trabajando de forma local, pero al intentar interactuar con base de datos, me arroja el siguiente error en la consola del navegador:

Solicitud de origen cruzado bloqueada: La misma política de origen no permite la lectura de recursos remotos en http://localhost:8000/api/auth/login. (Razón: Solicitud CORS sin éxito).

Necesito orientación de como solucionarlo urgente.
