Project: Development of an AI-powered learning assistant for language students and teachers.
Goal: Create a web-based mvp that supports personalised, cefr-aligned language learning through ai-driven feedback and analytics.

Key Features 1. Authentication & Roles o Students, teachers, admins. O Secure login with GDPR compliance. 2. AI Tutor (Chat Interface) o Writing and grammar feedback with CEFR rubrics. O Speaking practice with pronunciation analysis (asr + scoring + tts). O Reading/Listening guidance with comprehension questions. 3. Pronunciation Module o Whisper ASR integration. O Comparison with target text → error rate, word-level scores. O Shadowing with TTS feedback. 4. Writing Feedback Module o Short text submission. O AI returns corrections, explanations, rubric scoring, and micro-drills. 5. RAG Knowledge Base o Ingest school materials (PDFs, docs). O Retrieval-Augmented Generation with citations to source content. 6. Teacher Dashboard o Track progress (speaking time, writing scores, completion rate). O Portfolio of student submissions (audio/video/text). O Alerts for low engagement. Tech Stack • Backend: Node.js (Express) • Database: MongoDB • Frontend: React/Next.js (web app, responsive design) • AI Integrations: OpenAI/Anthropic LLM, Whisper asr, tts (azure/google), vector db (pinecone/weaviate/pgvector) • storage: s3 or equivalent for media files deliverables • full codebase on github (with documentation). • Functional MVP web app (desktop/mobile browser). • Admin panel for classes/users. • Clear installation & deployment guide. • All IP and code to remain client’s property. Timeline & Budget • Duration: 2–3 months (MVP). • Budget: Open to hourly or fixed-price proposals (please provide estimates). • Work style: Milestones with demos every 2–3 weeks. Requirements • Proven experience in Node.js, Mongodb, and ai/llm integrations. • Prior work with asr (speech recognition), tts, or rag highly valued. • Strong communication and documentation skills. • Must comply with GDPR and data privacy standards.
