Develop a Mobile Application to Empower Small-Scale Farmers in Kenya

We are seeking an experienced mobile app developer or team to create a comprehensive mobile application designed to support small-scale farmers in Kenya. The goal of this application is to provide valuable resources and tools to enhance agricultural productivity, market access, and overall farmer livelihoods. The app should be user-friendly, accessible, and tailored to the specific needs and challenges faced by farmers in the region. Key features should include: Access to real-time market prices for various crops and livestock, localized weather forecasts and agricultural advisories, best practice guides for crop cultivation and animal husbandry, pest and disease identification and management resources, a platform for farmers to connect and share knowledge, and potentially integration with micro-finance or insurance information. The application should primarily target Android users, given its prevalence in Kenya, and ideally include offline capabilities for essential features. The project involves full development from concept to launch, including ui/ux design, backend development, and testing.
