Experienced Illustrator & Graphic Designer for Children's Educational Games

Are you a talented illustrator and graphic designer? Are you excited about the idea of applying your skills to make products that help children live better lives?

We're a fast-growing US-based toy company that makes educational games for kids. Founded by two psychologists, our mission is to help kids live happier, better lives. We are looking to fill a long-term position for a graphic designer and illustrator. We want someone with at least 5 years experience that can help us to create beautiful new games & educational products for kids.

Key Responsibilities:
*Illustrate and design card games / board games for kids (e.g., Cards, instructions, boards for board games, etc.)
*Create packaging designs for products (e.g., The game box)
*Create digital marketing images on our website and eCommerce Marketplaces
*Create digital illustrations for children’s books and marketing projects

We are open to both part time (20 hours/week) and full time (40 hours/week) candidates for this position, based on your availability and preferences. Hourly rate is $8-12 USD / hour, depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Excellent English communication skills (verbal + written)
* Amazing problem-solving skills and ability to learn new tasks quickly
* Fluent with Adobe Suite - Photoshop & Illustrator required, InDesign preferred
* Strong attention to detail. If this describes you, put “illustration” as the first word in your application.
* Excellent visual design skills and creative ability
* Ability to illustrate for children’s products
* Friendly, effective communication with team members
* Creative and self-motivated
* High standards for self-improvement and beautiful design

bonus qualifications preferred but not required:
*experience with children’s toy and game design
*experience with packaging design
*experience with graphic design for ecommerce

compensation and benefits:
* flexible hours, but you must be available for 1-2 hours daily overlap with est time zone for collaboration.
* Pay is distributed twice a month on 1st and 15th.
* We give annual pay increases based on performance.
* We give 12 paid personal days per year (these increase annually)
* We offer 7 flexible paid public holidays.
