We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to join our team for long-term, asynchronous work. This role involves verifying web application features end-to-end, ensuring a high-quality user experience and functional integrity. The initial commitment is 10-15 hours per week, with potential for increased hours based on performance and project needs. This is a fully asynchronous role with no scheduled meetings, only a weekly text check-in.

Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly test new features on staging URLs, covering areas such as user logins, forms, dashboards, file uploads, and payment flows.
- Create clear and structured bug reports using a provided template, including steps to reproduce, expected versus actual results, screenshots or video recordings (Loom), and detailed browser/device information.
- Promptly re-test bug fixes within a 24-hour timeframe to confirm resolution.
- Identify and flag any user experience (UX) issues in addition to functional bugs.

Required Qualifications:
- Fluent written English communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with web development tools like Chrome DevTools, as well as screenshot and video recording tools such as Loom.
- Access to a modern laptop and a smartphone for comprehensive mobile testing.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of professional manual QA testing experience.
- Familiarity with popular issue tracking systems like Linear, GitHub Issues, or JIRA.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.

Compensation and Schedule:
- Compensation will be between $5-10 per hour, depending on experience.
- Work will commence at 10-15 hours per week, with opportunities to scale up.
- This is a remote, asynchronous position with flexible scheduling, requiring only a weekly text check-in.

To ensure a good fit, a paid trial will be conducted. This will involve a 5-hour paid trial at your agreed-upon rate, where you will test a real feature and submit a complete bug report. Successful completion of the trial will lead to ongoing engagement.
