Open

We are seeking a skilled Signage Design Engineer to create fabrication-ready shop drawings for architectural and electrical signage projects. This role combines structural drafting and electrical layout design to ensure fabricators, installers, and inspectors have accurate documentation. You will transform client-approved mockups into blueprint packages that comply with ul/nec standards and local permitting requirements. Responsibilities: Develop shop drawing packages: plan, elevation, section, and detail views. Convert client mockups into fabrication-ready drawings. Provide structural details: material callouts, steel/aluminum specs, welding, wind load, and footing requirements. Produce electrical layouts: LED placement, wiring, power distribution, breaker/conduit specs, and load calculations. Prepare exploded diagrams, material schedules, mounting/footing details, and UL notes. Coordinate with engineers for stamped drawings when required. Support project managers and fabrication teams with technical clarifications. Requirements: Experience as a Signage Designer, Draftsman, or Design Engineer. Proficiency in AutoCAD (SolidWorks/CorelCAD a plus). Knowledge of signage materials (steel, aluminum, ACM, acrylic, vinyl, LEDs). Understanding of fabrication/installation for channel letters, pylons, and architectural signage. Familiarity with ul/nec codes and local permitting requirements. Ability to produce blueprint packages, wiring diagrams, and load calculations. Detail-oriented, reliable, and deadline-driven. Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
