About the channel
i run an english-language youtube channel with 12 to 15 minute documentaries about baseball players, history and the business of the game. Think MLB Network storytelling, not highlight compilations. I provide the researched script and a finished voiceover. You build the visuals.

WHO I'M looking for
someone who knows baseball. Not just someone who can edit, but someone who can look at a photo and tell whether that's the right player, the right team and the right year. Every visual in my videos must match exactly what the narrator is saying.

REQUIREMENTS
- Real baseball knowledge: teams, eras, uniforms, key players
- Portfolio with documentary or sports storytelling work (please share links)
- Strong research skills: finding the right photo or clip for a specific play or year
- Clean motion graphics: stat cards, maps, timelines, simple animations
- Good audio mixing: clear voice on top, music underneath, around -14 LUFS
- Available during US Eastern business hours for quick questions
- Spanish is a plus, not required

the work
- one video per [week / two weeks] to start, about 12 minutes each
- you receive: the script with visual notes for every beat, voiceover files split by chapter, and a written brief with quality standards
- 2 revision rounds included per video
- budget: [your budget] per video

how hiring works
1. I'll shortlist applicants based on portfolio and answers to the questions below
2. Shortlisted editors do a PAID test: a 60 to 90 second segment from a script, with voiceover. Paid at [test amount] whether or not i hire you
3. The test is judged on one thing above all: does every visual match the narration (person, team, year, event)?
4. If the test is good, we start with the first full video

to apply, answer these questions
1. Which MLB team do you follow, and who is your favorite player of all time?
2. Bartolo Colón pitched for many teams. Which team was he on in 2005, and which team in 2016?
3. If a script says "he threw a one-hitter at Yankee Stadium on September 18, 2000," how would you find the right visuals? And what would you use if no footage exists?
4. Share 2 links to your best storytelling work (sports preferred)
5. Your rate per 12-minute video

Applications without answers to these questions won't be considered.
