EYE for an Idea is a monthly video content series powered by
iwantanidea.com, a UAE-based creative and communications consultancy. The show spotlights the world's most clever and culturally sharp advertising, pr and creative campaigns, breaking down what makes them work, why they matter, and what they mean for brands and audiences in the uae and middle east.
Hosted by Omar Khan, Founder of
iwantanidea.com, with over a decade of pr and communications experience in the uae and uk. Two episodes have already been scripted and filmed.

What You'll Be Editing
Each episode is a focused deep-dive into one standout creative campaign. All filming is done by the host at home, you will not be required on set. Raw footage, full script, and all campaign assets will be provided ahead of every edit.
Deliverables per episode:
One full-length edited episode (5–10 mins) optimised for YouTube
3–4 short-form social cuts for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn
Captions and subtitles throughout as standard
YouTube thumbnail asset
Editing Style
We are looking for visually rich, creator-native editing. Dynamic motion graphics, animated text overlays, sharp cuts, colour, and energy throughout. This is not B-roll with captions dropped on top. Every visual decision should serve the storytelling and match the host's energy.

What we do not want: corporate or broadcast-style editing, slow dissolves, PowerPoint-style graphics, or anything formal and stiff.

No AI-generated content. We need a skilled human editor making real creative decisions with genuine craft. If your workflow relies heavily on AI generation tools, please do not apply.
We will be trialling a small number of shortlisted editors on the first episode simultaneously to find the right long-term fit. Payment will be made to all shortlisted candidates regardless of outcome.
Ideal Candidate
Strong experience editing creator-style YouTube content
Fluency in motion graphics and animated text (After Effects or equivalent)
Ability to maintain consistent visual identity across a series
Understanding of short-form social formats and platform requirements
Reliable, fast turnaround and good communication
Ability to take creative direction while contributing ideas
Project Terms
Budget: $300–$400 USD per episode (full cut + social clips)
Initial term: 3 months, one episode per month
Strong potential to become more frequent and long-term as the series grows
Trial: first episode will be assigned to a small shortlist of editors simultaneously — all will be paid
