We are seeking a skilled freelancer to perform a comprehensive 2D stress analysis on a nylon spur gear using ANSYS Mechanical. The primary objective is to evaluate the structural performance of the gear under specified loading conditions and accurately identify potential failure regions. The analysis should pay particular attention to the critical tooth region and root area, where stress concentration is most prevalent. The freelancer will be responsible for setting up the simulation, running the analysis, and providing detailed results. Required outputs from the simulation include: Contact Pressure, Maximum Shear Stress, Frictional Stress, Fatigue Damage, Fatigue Life, Safety Factor, Maximum Principal Stress, Maximum Principal Elastic Strain, Total Deformation, Equivalent Elastic Strain, and Equivalent (von-Mises) Stress. The final report should clearly present these findings and highlight any areas of concern regarding the gear's durability and safety.
