About this project
engineering-manufacturing / 3d-modelling-1

The client requires a comprehensive quotation and estimated turnaround time for the conversion of a 200MB RCP (point cloud) file into a production-ready Revit/CAD model. The project involves detailed 3D modeling to LOD 300 for an industrial space measuring approximately 40m x 40m. The scope includes extensive structural, mechanical, electrical, process, and civil/utility detailing. Key elements to be modeled include: Structural detail: Floors, overhead floor slab, columns, beams, pipe rack detail, cladding, walls, and doors. MEP detail: Piping (excluding pipes <1", conduits, support rods, moveable equipment, cables, and minute detail on equipment), sprinklers, various equipment (AHUs, heat pumps, oil units, chillers, pumps, fans, etc.), Ducting, lighting, large equipment in block form, cable trays, ladder rack, trunking, and electrical junction boxes. Valves are to be shown in block format but differentiated from piping. The modeling will be executed using Autodesk Revit 2024, with deliverables as discipline-separated, coordinated models. The project requires developing a coordinated Revit model to LOD 300, accurately representing architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, process, and civil/utility features as captured during the laser scan survey. All geometry must reflect the true size, shape, position, orientation, and alignment of elements, modeled on a visible/as-found basis from the structured point cloud. The final model will be divided into the following discipline files: - Architectural Model (façade, opes, partitions, ceilings, doors) - Structural Model (columns, beams, trusses, slabs, roof build-up) - Mechanical / HVAC Model (ductwork, supports, vents, equipment) - Electrical Model (cable trays, containment routes, visible equipment) - Process Model (process pipework, drains, racks, supports) - Civil / Utilities (stormwater/foul drainage, chambers, utility pop-ups)
