Freelance Technical Visual Designer for Engaging Learning Experiences

We are seeking a talented and curious Technical Visual Designer to join our team on a full-time freelance basis for a 2-3 month contract. At Makers, we specialize in transforming complex technical and operational content into clear, engaging visual learning experiences. This role is ideal for someone who excels at visual problem-solving, turning dense scripts, systems, and technical processes into easily understandable diagrams, storyboarded animations, and clean vector graphics.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design clear, structured vector diagrams that effectively communicate technical concepts.
* Create sketchframes, visual development frames, and illustrated assets for animations based on provided scripts.
* Work diligently within an established visual system and adhere to clear creative guidelines.
* Collaborate closely with our Creative Director and a structured internal team.

Important Note: Animation skills are not required for this role; however, experience preparing and structuring assets for animation in After Effects would be a strong advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Genuinely curious and enjoys understanding how things work.
* Able to break down complex ideas and translate them into simple, clean visuals.
* Confident in creating flat, vector-based illustrations that make technical concepts visually engaging.
* Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator (essential).
* Comfortable working with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
* Organized and comfortable working within structured processes and pipelines.
* Self-directed and capable of working effectively within a fully remote team environment without requiring constant supervision.
* Keeps up with new tools, technologies, and workflows.
* Available to start immediately.
