Ghostwriter (Native English) for Viral Spanish Slang Book — Mexican Culture + Humor

Published on the July 30, 2025 in Writing & Translation

About this project

Open

I’m looking for a native English ghostwriter with strong understanding of Mexican Spanish slang and culture to write a fun, slang-filled Spanish learning book.

The book is fully outlined and structured across 30 short chapters (1–2 pages each). You’ll be writing as a fictional guide named El Güey Gabriel — a bold, funny, culturally fluent character who teaches readers real Mexican Spanish, street slang, and social survival phrases.

Your responsibilities:
    •    Write ~10,000 words total (30 daily lessons)
    •    Use authentic slang (e.g. No mames, chingar, órale, güey) correctly
    •    Match a layered tone:
    •    El Güey = meme-style hype man
    •    Gabriel = respectful cultural translator
    •    Gabo = empathetic no-sabo mentor
    •    Follow a clear outline + voice guide
    •    Deliver clean, character-driven, screenshot-worthy writing

This is a ghostwriting role — the book will be published under a brand character name (El Güey Gabriel). You won’t be credited publicly.

Deliverables:
    •    Full manuscript in Google Docs or Word
    •    30 short lessons (~300–400 words each)
    •    1 round of revisions after feedback

Deadline:
    •    First draft due within 2 weeks of hire
    •    Revisions completed within 1 additional week

Final outline will be provided to the shortlist of applicants

Project overview

This book is part of a viral language-learning series launching under the brand El Güey Gabriel. The goal is to help English-speaking learners — especially “no-sabo” heritage speakers — learn real conversational Mexican Spanish through humor, culture, and slang, not boring textbook phrases. The tone is bold, funny, and authentic — like a cool Mexican cousin teaching you the good stuff your Spanish teacher never would. The book will be sold on Amazon and promoted heavily through TikTok and Instagram. This is the first title in what may become a full series of slang-based guides. I’ve already hired a cultural reviewer to double-check slang usage for authenticity. You’ll work closely with that person during edits.
